A Word About Image Quality

A Word About Image Quality

Important notice… Please read!

This post is to advise you, my viewers and potential customers, that there are certain limitations regarding how websites display images, especially high quality images.

This website is no different in that respect. Unfortunately, due to the way in which WordPress (the engine that powers my website) compresses image files as it uploads them to the website, some color saturation, definition, and vibrance loss occurs. This is, in part, because of the fact that WordPress uses the RGB colorspace, whereas most photographers develop their images using the AdobeRGB colorspace, or the sRGB colorspace.

Please rest assured that none of my prints or rights managed downloadable image files are affected by this – it is purely a display limitation in the website engine that causes this, and it is only the display of the image on the website that is affected.
